Course Introduction:

 

The data analysis track is a five-month program designed to empower women with no prior experience to enter the field of data analysis. The program offers various sessions organized into different modules to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to work in data analysis. Throughout the program, participants will learn essential concepts such as data collection, cleaning, analysis, visualization, and interpretation. They will also have the opportunity to work on hands-on exercises, and projects, and receive mentorship to gain practical experience. The program aims to equip women with the necessary tools and confidence to excel in the field of data analysis.

 

Learning Objectives:

 

  • Develop a solid foundation in the principles and concepts of data analytics and the integration of their role with the stakeholders.
  • Gain business acumen to align data analytics efforts with organizational goals.
  • Explore various data sources and types, distinguishing between structured and unstructured data.
  • Acquire proficiency in extracting and manipulating data using SQL.
  • Apply statistical methods to describe and analyze data distributions.
  • Master data handling techniques, including cleaning, transformation, and validation.
  • Acquire basic programming skills for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Use a variety of data analysis techniques, including exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
  • Design informative dashboards for conveying complex analytical findings in a visually accessible manner.
